The patient was given decadron 8mg on his second day of admission and throughout his hospitalization. The potential for confusion is particularly troubling when one considers that nonalcoholic Rockstar drinkers both male and female ; are reportedly more likely to enjoy taking risks and to drive faster than normal.33 In addition, marketing messages used for alcoholic energy drinks frequently mirror those used by their nonalcoholic cousins: images of rocket ships and exploding nuclear reactors; images and slogans referencing risk taking, sports, and all-night partying. Explicit sexual imagery or messages are often included, suggesting that the products can lead to sexual success for males, particularly in party situations.The messages are communicated primarily through the same channels used by energy drink marketers, with emphasis on nontraditional media: Internet sites, chat rooms, sporting event sponsorships, and the like. Consumer-to-consumer communication on Internet sites such as MySpace often involving underage drinkers is also occurring. After resuscitation, hydrocortisone 200 mg and decadron 10 mg were administered. Skin wheals and redness were found over almost all of the patient's body. Hemodynamic stability was restored over the next half an hour. The patient was transported from the operating room to the postanesthesia care unit for further care. He had made an uneventful recovery with full awakening 2 hours later, and he was extubated several hours later. The operation was postponed, and he was discharged 2 days later without any sequelae and astelin.

Many medications are used to treat infertility and most enhance or modify a woman's menstrual cycle. They do so by establishing normal ovulation, increasing the number of follicles, controlling the timing of the egg release, preparing the endometrium for implantation and supporting the developing embryo. These injectable medications are used to temporarily "switch off" your hormone signals and stop them from prematurely releasing your eggs during the stimulation step. Lupron is also used to treat endometriosis since it lowers the body's level of estrogen, which is required for endometrial tissue growth. Given by injection, antagonists block virtually all luteinizing hormones over a short period of time and prevent ovulation during the stimulation step. Gonadotrophins are compounds containing FSH that stimulate the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. Many eggs are needed to ensure fertilization and the development of viable embryos for transfer. RESPIHALER DECADRON Phosphate or RESPIHALER Pr0DECADRON provides results equal or superior to oral steroids in most cases. Used prophylactically, RESPIHALER DECADRON Phosphate or RESPIHALER Pr0DECADRON usually reduce the incidence and severity of acute attacks, prevent or minimize. An issue of concern to female Sjgren's patients has been whether or not estrogen replacement therapy at the time of menopause is harmful to their condition. With regards to estrogen replacement in general, the clinical evidence is controversial whether the risks of blocking osteoporosis and reducing cardiovascular mortality adequately offset the small increase in risk in breast cancer. However, some women feel that estrogen replacement improves their quality of life in terms of mood elevation, by eliminating hot flashes and hormone-related vaginal dryness. Earlier investigators were concerned that estrogen might have a negative influence on Sjgren's based on animal studies. At our clinic, we have not seen any deterioration of Sjgren's syndrome related to either estrogen replacement therapy or low estrogen forms of oral contraceptives. Because of this, we encourage adequate estrogen replacement for the properly screened postmenopausal Sjgren's patient who feels that it improves their quality of life. However, other therapeutic alternatives for osteoporosis Fosomax and Actonel ; and for lowering cholesterol are now available and estrogens are now not the agents of choice for these medical issues Many women with Sjgren's syndrome are interested in the risks of pregnancy and risks to the baby. Obstetrical authorities report slightly higher rates of recurrent fetal death and congenital heart block in those pregnancies complicated by maternal autoimmune disease. In rare patients, fetal loss has been associated with presence of the antibodies called "antiphospholipid antibodies, " "lupus anticoagulant" and anticardiolipin antibodies. Congenital heart block is an abnormality of the rate or rhythm of the fetal or infant heart. Certain autoantibodies, such as an antibody called "anti-SS-A, " have been associated with congenital heart block in the newborn. These autoantibodies may be present in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and with Sjgren's syndrome, as well as in patients with no apparent disease. However, it is important to reassure patients planning families that the vast majority of patients with Sjgren's syndrome have babies with no congenital abnormalities. Thus, we encourage family planning to be conducted without this being a major consideration. Nevertheless, it is important for patients anticipating pregnancy or those with multiple prior miscarriages ; to have screening blood tests and that their pregnancies require supervision by obstetricians experienced in handling patients with autoimmune diseases. If a pregnant patient requires corticosteroids for their medical condition, we suggest decadron rather than prednisone ; since it crosses the placenta and will provide protection to the fetus. A team approach combining both rheumatology and obstetrics can be used to optimize the outcome for both mother and baby. In our experience, flares of Sjgren's have been common after delivery and we often recommend steroid coverage at the time of delivery and in the post partum period in some patients. F. Outcome of Scorpion Sting Envenomation After a Protocol Guided Therapy 1992-Aug, 1997 was collected by the authors at the time of discharge and in few cases from the medical record division of the hospital Retrospective group ; . Analysis was done in relation to complications, time interval between the sting and the admission, body weight and mortality. Fisher's exact test was used to compare the outcome between the prospective and the retrospective group. P value of 0.05 was taken as statistically significant. RESULTS 384 children with scorpion sting SS ; were studied over a period of 9 years. 1992-2000 ; in this hospital. 186 children in retrospective group 1992-1997 ; were treated with a cocktail of drugs like pethidine, largactil, promethazine Lytic cocktail ; , Avil. pheniramine maleate ; morphine, decadron dexamethasone ; . Lasix frusemide ; and digoxin was given for myocarditis and APE. Multiple boluses of normal saline or Ringer's lactate were administered for PCF. 198 children with SS were admitted during 1997-2000. Out of them 56.4% were males and 43.6% females. Most of the cases 85% ; were within 1-10 years. More number of boys had scorpion sting in 15 yrs of age group, though an overall both the sexes were equally affected. 17% of them had no symptoms or complications. The youngest child who survived was a 37 days old infant with APE. Children who came late were having features of excessive sympathetic activity tachycardia, intense vasoconstriction and carditis ; . Few children presenting immediately after the sting within 20 minutes ; had features of parasympathetic hyperactivity i.e. sweating, salivation, bronchospasm and vomiting ; CHOLINERGIC ACTIVITY ; . But, none of these children had bradycardia. All of them responded to therapy satisfactorily within 30 minutes. 80 of the cases presented with pain at the site of the sting. 2 children who had no pain at admission developed pain after 8 hours with had myocarditis with APE. Tachycardia in the study cases lasted for 3 to 96 hrs, whereas bradycardia improved withinin 6 hrs. Nearly 70% of cases had sinus tachycardia. Ventricular ectopics with tachycardia was noted in some of the fatal cases. Only 2 out of 6 having sinus bradycardia had APE. Priapism was noted in nearly 50% of boys, nearly three fourth had tachycardia and one fourth had hypertension. Priapism subsided within 8 hrs in all the children except in two, where it lasted for 24 hrs. All the children n 10 ; weighing 5 Kg or less had complications; but without any mortality. Its incidence reduced to 79-86% n 178 ; in 6-25 Kg group and only 50% n 10 ; in more than 25 Kg group. 3 cases died in 21-25 Kg group and 2 cases each in 11-15Kg and 6-10 Kg group. A 37-days-old child was the youngest victim in this study who survived APE. Most of the children had come with cold extremities and deltasone.
